Meet The Bloomsbury

The Bloomsbury hotel is a 1928 Sir Edward Lutyens, Grade-II listed building originally modelled on Queen Mary's doll's house. Located just a stone's throw from the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street, Soho and London's theatre district; The Bloomsbury hotel was redesigned in 2017, following a multimillion-pound investment program led by Bernie Gallagher, Chairman of The Doyle Collection, in collaboration with Martin Brudnizki Design Studio. Originally commissioned as the YWCA Central Club, this pet-friendly hotel now comprises 153 stylish suites and rooms, a library, fitness center and striking George V ballroom. The Irish family-owned hotel also extends its signature warmth and hospitality to the on-site dining venues; three renowned restaurants and bars: Dalloway Terrace, The Coral Room and The Bloomsbury Club Bar.

The Bloomsbury embraces the original building's literary heritage with its Seamus Heaney Library, a peaceful, wood-paneled, event space filled with books by the area's former residents including Virginia Woolf, John Maynard Keynes, E. M. Forster and Lytton Strachey.
The Bloomsbury Hotel offers a superb central London location. Situated on Great Russell Street in the heart of 18th century Bloomsbury, it lies within easy walking distance of The British Museum, Covent Garden and Theatreland, Oxford Street, and is two minutes' walk from Tottenham Court Road Tube Station.

The leafy streets and Georgian squares of Bloomsbury are home to a myriad of publishing houses, galleries and antiquarian bookshops, along with an eclectic selection of cafes, pubs and restaurants. London's iconic Dominion Theatre is just a short stroll from the hotel, and other local attractions include the Charles Dickens Museum and the The British Library.
